Congratulations to our monthly Positive Action Assembly Winners!

February
McEowen Elementary students were recently honored at a monthly assembly on Monday, February 27. The school hosts a monthly Positive Action Assembly to recognize student accomplishments.

To begin the assembly, students recited the Pledge of Allegiance and sang the National Anthem.

The February Students of the Month were Chloe Fitzgerald, Russell Minsky, Hunter Roberts, and Audrey Coffey. Students of the Month are nominated by their classroom teacher and receive t-shirts sponsored by the Harrisonville Police Department.

Each month, McEowen students who exhibit the character education trait of the month are honored. February’s trait was kindness and those students receiving the McBest Award were Kirsten Talley, Ryley Wood, Paige Countryman, Eli Norman, Adia Ravencamp, Alayna Royal, Sean Wise, Rosalyn Kirschner, Dalton Stewart, Ben Brown, Quincy Carter, Mason Hannah, Emma Lyon, Connor Moore, and Nathaniel Drake.  

Students are also recognized for writing and math at each Positive Action Assembly. Those February honorees for writing were Natalie Collins, Octavia Lemmer, Desarae Baker, Cameron Caldwell, Gavin Valentich, Sydney Ballard, Drew Wright, Kassandra Bailey, Zane Masden, Marc Derner, Phoenix Crook, Seth Buroughs, Collin Flanner, Cooper Appleman, and Jenna Everhart.
 
Those recognized in math were Alyssa Cox, Mattic Meinhardt, Try Lehr, Jonas Yoder, Trenton Gould, Jayden Taylor, Ramsey Turk, Ava Riley, Hailey Schmidt, Wyatt Bradshaw, Tanner Schick, Addison Kelly, Anthony Coffelt, Jason Callahan, and Xavier Blacketeer.

The Harrisonville Kiwanis Club recognizes fourth grade students each month for meeting a goal outside of school. Students are honored as Terrific Kids and receive a certificate and bag of goodies. The February Terrific Kids were Katelyn Miller, Cali Miller, Sebastian Howell, Liberty Riggen, Haleigh Crook, and Connor Graves.

The Harrisonville Rotary Club presents the Service Above Self Award and in February the honoree was Haley Wood.

McEowen also recognizes a staff member at the school as the McEowen Sonic Super Star Staff Member.  Building paraprofessional Crystal Sullivan was the February recipient.
 
January

The January Students of the Month were Kayleigh Norris, Jackson Shrout, Maddie Burger, and Travis Eddleman. Students of the Month are nominated by their classroom teacher and receive t-shirts sponsored by the Harrisonville Police Department.

Each month, McEowen students who exhibit the character education trait of the month are honored. January’s trait was honesty and those students receiving the McBest Award were Chloe Bulen, Kloe Malone, Kayli Steinbrook, Audrie Brown, Isabella Galbrait, Masen Enyeart, Hudson Brannon, Jake Preston, Katlyn Valencia, Aylita Khieu, Holly Bales, Dominick Meade, Allie Dawson, Kayden Taylor, Haleigh Crook, Thad Valencia, and Steven Overbay.

Students are also recognized for writing and math at each Positive Action Assembly. Those January Writers of the Month were Shelby Box, Cali Miller, Malik Murphy, Conner Graves, Zayda Jones, Lezlie Wade, Lilly Wilson, Aubri Craig, Trinity Hessenflow, Eli Glenn, Ariel Atkin, Alayna Foreman, Ryley Wood, Taylor King, Gretchen Brooks, and Drew Droege.
 
The Mathematicians of the Month were Kady Heinerkson, Maggie Schaub, Collin Miller, Kyley Warrington, Noah Norman, Addison Billings, Kylee Hastings, Joseph Morris, Brendon Rech, Zane Masden, Eric Arthur, Morgan Cameron, Bryson Sanders, Brierly Hasek, Olivia Quick, Anthony Coffelt, and Mikelon Barker.

The Harrisonville Kiwanis Club recognizes fourth grade students each month for meeting a goal outside of school. Students are honored as Terrific Kids and receive a certificate and bag of goodies. The January Terrific Kids were Cyane Lightcap, Emma Coffey, Ryan Murphy, Lilley Knowles, Hunter Roberts, Noah Munoz, Olivia Shocklie, Madison Carter, Hannah Larkworthy, and Brigham May.

The Harrisonville Rotary Club presents the Service Above Self Award and in January there were multiple recipients. The boys in Mr. Snider’s class, Emma Keesling, and Addison Billings were honored.

McEowen also recognizes a staff member at the school as the McEowen Sonic Super Star Staff Member. Principal’s secretary Cheryl Bearden was the January recipient.
 
October

The September Students of the Month were Jayda Evans, Noah Munoz, Caiden Shackles, and Callie Shoemaker. Students of the Month are nominated by their classroom teacher and receive t-shirts sponsored by the Harrisonville Police Department.

Each month, McEowen students who exhibit the character education trait of the month are honored. October’s trait was Responsibility and those students receiving the McBest Award were Keaton Fools, Mattic Meinhardt, Alexis Terwillger, Elizabeth Shoemaker, Samantha Young, LeAine Caruthers, Jackson Shrout, Emma Osborn, Kenzie Meeks, Marina Parks, Mary Starforth, Jace Chrostowski, Quincy Carter, John Peterman, Ann O'Reilly, Taylor Jennings, Katelyn Miller, and Olivia Quick.

Students are also recognized for writing and math at each Positive Action Assembly. Those October honorees in math were Brooke Leimkuehler, Christopher Plato, Krisonna Werner, Karter Johnston, Carter Roberts, Mason Worthley, Michael Hill, Kaden Turner, Makayla Holzer,  Chloe Jackson, Liz Holman, Seth Burroughs, Colin Flanner, Jaxson Bechtel, Madison Carter, and Cooper Appleman.
 
The writing award winners were Rebecca Murphy, Maggie Schaub, Case Melzer, Portia Morrow, Camryn Purtle, Adia Ravencamp, Miranda Fisher, Rosalyn Kirschner, Grace Atkinson, Mark Gregg, Kady Heinerikson, Bennett Sturgeon, Liberty Riggen, Isabelle Roepke, Jack san Nicolas, Taylor Wiggs, and Laci McCammon.

September’s trait was Respect and those students receiving the McBest Award were Octavia Lemmer, Cayden Ritter, Haylee Mayberry, Grant Boyer, Alexander Davis, Adrianna Yelton, Brooklyn Rhoney, Maddie Burger, Skylar Chastain, Kaitlyn Wood, Cooper Elifrits, Nate Reynolds, Lance Giesbrecht, Mackenzie Verstrate, Mackenzie Covey, Conner Graves, and Bryar Gipson.  

Students are also recognized for writing and math at each Positive Action Assembly. Those September honorees for writing were Brice Harper, Elie Norman, Alexis Terwilliger, Holly Bales, Adyson Eng, Krysten Pauley, Jack Larcom, Dominic Jackson, Jaeda Hasam, Elizabeth Osterburg, Haely Wood, Lexi Scott, Zane Helt, Hailey Bagby, Brooklyn Morgan, Kaleigh Norris, and Elizabeth Cronk.
 
The honorees for math were Justice Jacobs, Mason Mitchell, Hannah Green, Taylor Scheib, and Zander Mason, Masen Enyeart, Preston Baker, Sam Droege, Dalton Stewart, Karissa Sweet, Jacki Bundt, Phoenix Crook, Shelby Box, Brigham May, Ryan Murphy, Steven Overbay, and Jaeli Mitchel
 
McEowen also recognizes a staff member at the school as the McEowen Sonic Super Star Staff Member. Missy Eddleman was honored as the September recipient.
